Raindrop Technique® Massage

The Raindrop Technique® Massage

An Interesting and Enjoyable Form of Aromatherapy

The Raindrop Technique is a combination of Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Massage techniques and Moist Heat to create Healing and Cleansing through structural and electrical alignment in the body.  Essential oils are applied on your spine and on the bottom of the feet by using effleurage, or feather finger stroking, a technique that was developed by Lakota Indian.

The Raindrop Technique is designed to bring balance to the body with its relaxing and mild application.

The therapist dispenses the oils along the client’s spine like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches.  This mimics the motion of raindrops falling, giving an extra element to the relaxing and therapeutic feeling experienced throughout.  The oils are gently brushed up the spine and lightly massaged over the rest of the back. A hot compress is then applied, which facilitates oil absorption and muscle relaxation.

Raindrop Therapy is based on the theory that many spinal misalignments are caused by pathogens that reside dormant along the backbone. This condition creates inflammation causing contortion and disfigurement along the spine. .  The premise behind Raindrop Therapy is that the use of specific antimicrobial oils applied in a particular sequence with various techniques will reduce the body’s inflammations and destroy any viral presence.  This technique was developed by nutritionist Gary Young. Gary gives credit to the Native American Lakotas, the Hunza people of the Himalayan Mountains, and the people of Inner Mongolia for his inspiration

We use only pure, therapeutic essential oils from the Young Living Raindrop Technique® Collection in our massage.  This collections contains 7 Essential Oils, 2 Essential Blends, 2 Massage Oils

The technique follows a French technique of aromatherapy, using essential oils that are applied directly to the client’s body without diluting them.  But if needed, vegetable oil can also be use on sensitive skin.

The combination of these oils, and the application of moist warm towels to the spine and back, allows the oils to penetrate deeply in your body quickly and start their therapeutic process on a cellular level.
